RE: Readers Digest - paid for gift subscription by check in Oct., 2002 - then billed again for same order in Jan., 2002 - then billed again in Feb., and March despite account being marked as paid Readers Digest complaint.

I paid for the gift subscription October 1, 2002. My check cleared my bank 10/9/02. In Janurary, I received a bill for the amount I have already paid.

I sent a copy of my processed check from my bank statment. and later received anote from Ms. Slater stating that my account had been marked paid. Since then, I have received two additional billings, once in February 2003 and again in March, 2003.

Each time I have mailed the evidence that the account has been paid. I think that Readers Digist is attempting to trick people into paying multipal times for a single subscription.
