Video Professor Complaint:

I accepted an internet offer to try a sample lesson for the $6.95 price of shipping and handling. The internet add was laid out for one to check their 1st, 2nd & 3rd choice. I made three selections and subsequently received my first choice in the mail. Do to a very busy schedule, I did not open the package. A month later my 2nd choice arrived and the next month my thrid choice.

Due to busy schedule, I did not open any of the these packages and was thinking that since thse were unsolicited they were part of the free offer. Upon the receipt of the 4th package which was not one of my choices, I checked my checking account and discovered that I had been billed for all four packages. Upon complaining to Ms. Golden I was Informed that the first package included the free cd plus two additional cd's not included in the free offer. Also was information describing that unless cancelled, the company would continue to send lessons and that the company had a 30 day return policy. My complaint is that the additional cd in the package were unsolicited as were the subsequently maile cd's. Having not opened the package, I was unaware of the situation that was transpiring. This is a deceptive business practice that should be address by BBB.

It places the consumer in the position of having to return unwanted merchandise to avoid being billed. Ms. Golden offered to refund all billing except for the first package provided that I return the 2nd, 3rd & 4th packages. She sated the 30 day return policy as the reason for not giving full refund. My position is that all money billed except for the orginal $6.95 shipping for the first package be refunded. My justification is that is the only amount I agreed to pay and the rest was shipped unsolicited. Therefore, I should not be required to return anything. I will leave the matter of returns to the arbitration of BBB. All packages remained unopened.
