Hewlett Packard Scanjet scanner, HP camera - purchased from Circuit City, Tulsa, Oklahoma- unable to get $ 150.00 rebate

I bought an entire Hewlett Packard Package on January 18, 2001. I included Computer, printer, monitor, scanner, digital camera, periperals and cables. I purchased this equipment at Circuit City Stores, Inc. in

Tulsa, Oklahoma. First after explaining exactly what I needed, I was sold a computer that did not meet these needs. Then when I tried to use the camera, it did not work.

They sent me another referbished camera (that is they replaced my new camera with a referbished camera), that had exactly the same problem. They sent me a third referbished camera and this one worked, but, I got a referbished camera to replace a new camera. They then without my knowledge but the two referbished camera's on my visa.

They charged me more for the two referbished cameras b6 150.00 than I had paid for the new camera. So in other words I could have purchased four cameras for the price of the three. They did back that amount off of my visa card, but it was an inconvenience to say the least.

It said to me that my inconvenience was very small compared to theirs. I then opened a scanner that was broken out of the box, and because it was more than three months I had to send them $200.00 to fix it.

The scanner was 149.95 originally. Now I am unable to get my 150.00 rebate after sending the information twice. It is interesting to me that I see so many of the same complaints listed on this page as mine. Hopefully your web page with get things done.

I intend to contact HP again to tell them about this page, and that I posted to this and will to any other pages I can find. Thank you for the service. Ann Skierkiewicz
