Fifth Third Bank - not been able to get a release of lien - slow service
I have not been able to get a release of lien from Fifth Third Bank. I am trying to close on a refinance mortgage. My mortgage banker and title company have not had any success in contacting 5/3 and getting results. Numerous phone calls by myself have had no results.
After fighting various CS reps the best I can do is they tell me "it will take 90 days". Well I paid off this loan Feb 6, it is now Mar 6, two days after my closing date and still no response. I will lose my point lock, loan application fee and have to start this process all over again.
It is clear Fifth Third is too big to be concerned about their customers or incapable of providing service in a reasonable length of time. My mortgage banker says this process normally takes a few days, and Fifth Third's response is unheard of in the industry.
