Sears in Security Mall, Maryland - Sears freezer order - late in arrival

 

March 2, 2002 We purchased a small upright freezer from Sears in Security Mall, Maryland in early February of this year. The freezer had to be ordered and sent in from the warehouse.

 

On its arrival date (February 15 or 18) we went to pick it up. It had not arrived from the warehouse, and there was no record of what had happened to it. A "partial delivery" was noted. We were offered an upgrade to a larger freezer, and agreed to reorder the new one and pick it up on February 26, 2002.

 

We went in on March 2, 2002, and the freezer was not there. It has been ordered, but there is no record of the order in the warehouse. We have reluctantly reordered it and been given a delivery/pick-up date of Thursday March 7, 2002. If we haven't gooten it by then, I will file a formal complaint. Be aware that delivery dates can, evidently, vary by weeks (or possibly months) with little explanation or warning at this Sears location. Mary Brock
