1998 Dodge Neon - paint started peeling at 50,000 miles

I have a '98 Dodge Neon- Blue, that started peeling at 50,000 miles. The dealer -Chuck Swift Dodge, where I bought it new, offered only a $400.00 allowance for repainting. The auto body shop they reccomended estimated $1800. to paint the car. The car continues to peel in new locations.

This problem with this model or particular color seems to be common. I have myself sighted blue Neons up and down the west coast with the paint coming off.

I think that since it is obviously a manufacturing problem, total compensation should be given

to allow the proper and total paint job.
