I have had a cell phone with Sun-Com cellular phone service for 1 year and 7 months. I recently signed on with Cell One and purchased a new phone and contract.
When I called Sun-Com to cancel the contract with them I was told that I had a plan that automatically renewed itself each year and if I want to cancel it the cost to me would be $200.00.
Now I was never informed of this fine print item of automatic renewal and penalty for cancelling even though I have had the phone longer than the one year period.
No other cell phone provider has this type of plan that automatically renews itself so consumers beware of your contract with Sun-Com and look at the fine print.
My 5 family members are all cutting off Sun-Com. It was this type of customer service that led me to cancel my home phone service with their parent company AT&T.
