Currys Trowbridge - Dixons Group Plc - return refused 7 days following purchase

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on March 16, 2002:

Currys Trowbridge - Dixons Group Plc - return refused 7 days following purchase I hope you will be able to help.

I bought a TV from Currys in Trowbridge on 22.12.01. Took it back within 7 days, because ASDA had a better deal, which offered 3 years guarantee while Currys was 1 year.

Store Manager refused to take it back, because the TV was not faulty. Dixon's Group have now confirmed this is their policy.

What about Consumer's Right to return, if not satisfied, or obtains a better deal from another competitive retailer. i.e this time ASDA?

What can I do to get my money back and return the TV that has not been used and still boxed?
