Century Products Booster car Seat - could not loosen straps enough, tether strap is not secured to the car seat, will return product

I Just brought home one of Centuries' child's booster car seats. When trying to position the harness straps, I found that I could not loosen the straps enough to put in my child. The loosening adjustment does not work. The tether strap is also not secured to the car seat at all.

This company tries to postion itself as a maker of quality merchandise. I have to return this seat tomorrow as it is defective, and I will buy another brand.

I resent the waste if time that this has caused me, I also question how they can maket themselves as puveyors of a safe product and try to sell defective produts that with improperly attached parts which would compormise a child's safety
