LensDirect.com - late delivery, promises for delivery unfulfilled, poor service

 

I ordered a pair of contact lenses online from LensDirect.com back on February 6, 2002. The ad on this company's homepage stresses "3 day service.

 

After waiting for two weeks and not hearing a word from this company as to the status of my order, I called them on February 19, and was told that my lenses were on back order, but they just received them and would send them to me express mail. I was told that I should receive the lenses on Friday, February 22. After not receiving them again, I sent LensDirect.com a strongly worded e-mail on February 27. The following morning, I received a voice mail message from the President of the company, who expressed his empathy and assured me that the lenses were sent to me on February 27 and were given "priority status."

 

I felt that this would be the end of my frustration since the President of the company had intervened. After not receiving them as of March 8, I called this company again, and was again assured that they were sent on February 27. Well, here it is March 11, 2002 (as of this writing) and I have no contact lenses. The only expeditious thing that LenDirect.com did was bill my credit card company.
