BACK IN FEBRUARY OF 2002 I RECEIVED AN OFFER IN THE MAIL FROM WORLDCOM WIRELESS FOR A CELL PHONE FOR $19.99/MO. I REPLIED. I RECEIVED THE PHONE BY MAIL AND IT WOULDN'T WORK SO I CALLED WORLDCOM AND THEY TOLD ME BY ACCIDENT THEY HAD GIVEN ME A NUMBER THAT BELONGED TO SOMEONE ELSE AND THEY'D FIX IT.

 

NEEDLESS TO SAY, SEVEN DAYS WENT BY STILL NO PHONE SO I CALLED THEM AND SAID FORGET IT HOW DO I SEND THIS PHONE BACK. UNDER THEIR GUIDANCE I SENT IT BACK UPS. THEY TOLD ME I WOULDN'T BE CHARGED FOR ANYTHING AND SORRY ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I RECEVED NOTICE THAT THEY RECEICVE THE PHONE AND EVERYTHING WAS GOOD.

 

ABOUT TWO MONTHS LATER I STARTED RECEVING BILLS FROM THEM AND EVERYTIME I CALLED AND THEY SAID OKAY IT'S TAKEN CARE OF. SO THE OTHER DAY MY PHONE RINGS AND MY MACHINE GOT IT BEFORE I DID AND A WOMAN IS SPEAKING SPANISH AND LEAVING A MESSAGE SO I PICK UP HELLO HELLO SHE KEEPS SPEAKING SPANISH.THANK GOD FOR CALLER ID SO I CALL BACK AND IT'S A COLLECTION AGENCY FOR WORLDCOM WIRELESS.

 

FIRST I EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT I'M NOT SPANISH AT ALL AND THEY SAID MY LAST NAME SOUNDED IT SO THEY GOT AN INTERPRETOR TO CALL AND THEN I TOLD THEM I NEVER ESTABLISHED AN ACCOUNT WITH WORLDCOM TO ERASE MY NAME FROM THEIR COLLECTION DEPT. WHICH THEY SAID THEY CAN'T. I THEN ASKED THEM FOR A TELEPHONE #FOR WORLDCOM AND AN ADDRESS AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO HELP ME.WHAT DO I DO NOW???
