RE: Columbia House - wasn't able to choose DVD selections, as promised

They are rude and very unprofessional to me. I was told when I signed up for this membership that I would have a year to make the obligated number of dvd selections, which I thought was great, I could take my time and choose the dvd that I wanted and meeting the obligation within the years time would be no problem. Well all of a sudden I got a package in the mail from columbia house, it was a dvd, CHOSEN FOR ME! I couldn't believe it.

I called them up right away and inquired as to who this "director" is. I informed the UNprofessional that I wanted noone there to choose my selections for me as I am the only one who could know at any given time what movie I wanted. And the kicker is they charged me $35.00!!!!!! for a movie I could get from Walmart for 19.95. I could not believe what was happening.

And now since I still haven't made a purchase, keep in mind that my account is not even 6 months old, they have reported me to a major credit reporting agency and is threatening to send my account to a collection agency unless I pay them $70.59!! Pay them that amount for something I never got? They can't be real. If you pay that kind of money should'nt you get the dvd's of your choice?
