RE: 1995 Chevy Lumina - paid $ 1,021 to have air conditioning fixed
I recently had a 1995 Chevy Lumina air conditioner serviced at the Chevy dealership. They replaced the a/c evaporator core. The part was $230.00.
The labor was allegedly 9 hours at $81.00 per hour. The total cost was $1021.00. This is too much money to pay for a part that has nothing to do with running the car.
I feel I was way overcharged but I paid for it anyway because my mom is older and she needs the air when it's very hot. Is this the average price for such a service?
