On June 2, 2003, my wife called the Time-Warner Cable Company in Laredo, Texas to switch over our cable account from an apartment to our new house. They told her the it would be 2 weeks. A week later, June 9, 2003, she called again to verify that they would be coming at the end of the week. They then told her that they were backlogged and that it would be till the beginning of July.
That the City of Laredo had to check that the lines at the new place were up to specifications. Monday, June 23, 2003, my wife again called for verification on the time and they told her that they would be here today, June 27, 2003, at 5 P.M. A technician from Time-Warner called me this morning, said he was on way over to install the cable. The only problem with this is that it was 11 A.M. I wasn't at home and there was no way I could get home since I was working. I explained to him that we had made the 5 P.M. arrangements because we both work and wouldn't be home till 4:30 P.M.
He then said that he would check on it and get back to me. After thinking it over, I called him back and asked him to install the cable outside and that I would install it inside. He said that they needed to do all the work, both inside and out. So again, it was back on for 5 P.M. Here it is 8 P.M. already and they never showed up. They kept pushing it back till finally today was supposed to be the day.
Sorry, but no cigar! Now, I subscribe to most if not all of their premium channels and their Roadrunner Cable Internet. That comes out to $134.00 a month of cable. What am I to do now? Call back on Monday, it's close on Saturday. They'll reschedule for later in the week. Maybe 2 more weeks!
