RE: Mystery Guild - returned books that did not order - unfairly charged shipping and handling fees, and late fees
I am a Mystery Guild member, and a little over a month ago, they sent me a couple of books I did not order, so I returned returned them immediately. A few weeks later, they sent me a statement saying they credited my account but billed me for the shipping & handling of the books anyway.
I wrote a letter to them saying I will not pay for the shipping & handling fees because it was not my error. Now they are charging me, not only for the shipping fees, but for late charges (dated 6/18) as well.
Now, I don't know if the late fee is for the shipping charges from the returned books,R, or from a couple of new books I DID ORDER and received on 6/16. If it is from the new books, is there some new policy of charging late fees 6 days after the date they shipped my books? Any suggestions on how I should handle this dilemma?
