RE: Ameriquest Mortgage - annual fees not disclosed in the pre-loan paperwork - cancelled loan
In Feb. 2002, I decided to re-finance with Ameriquest Mortgage, But after reviewing the loan, I cancelled within the 7 day I was given to do so, mainly because of the additional fees not disclosed in the pre-loan paperwork.
I thought I was done with Ameriquest , but no, they recorded the cancelled mortgage at the court house, and simply would not straighten this out, which of course denied me the chance to re-finance with another company. Attempts to get Ameriquest to fix this problem were in vain, and I was forced to hire an attorney who finally persuaded them to correct the problem.
All in all, a very poor experience with these people and this company, who apparently were attempting to see to it that if I was going to re-finannce, it would be with them, or no one else.
