West Acres Amoco, Fargo, ND - trouble with repair service

Complaints.com received the following on June 17, 2003:

RE: West Acres Amoco, Fargo, ND - trouble with repair service Was in Fargo when fuel pump went out, West Acres Amoco towed me in and I told them it would not start, but turned over and though it was a fuel pump. 4 1/2 hours and $762.29 later (not counting towing), they told me I needed ro replace a serpentine belt tensioner (you kidding), I said no, then then stated they crimped the sending units line, was rusted.

I didn't tell them that it was only put on a year ago, so don't think it was to rusted. Told them to put the parts in the truck so I could take them back to who had done the work before, but funny, they were not in the truck and they refuse to send them, got to make another 180 mile round trip to get them.

Then they wonder about customer relations and why they lose business, I know I will never stop at another Amoco, not even for water. Bob Stahl Email User Seems like if they can't gouge you for one thing, they break something else to get you....
