J.D. Marvel - paid for fleece-lined slippers 5 weeks ago - still haven't received slippers

I ordered a product from doc marvel 6 weeks ago through an ad in a newspaper. I have not received the product or any type of explanation. My check was cashed within 1 week.

The phone number for the company is no longer in service. I have since learned that there are numerous similar complaints.

The product was fleece-lined slippers, company J. .D. Marvel. I would be glad to follow up on this if I knew which direction to go.
