RE: AOL - cancelled service, but continued to get billed Dear Customer Service Manager, While visiting US in Feb 03, I briefly used AOL service (which was promotional : 45 days free trial period). Subsequently, I disconnected the service since I was not needing it. The cancellation no. is 0863932447. This is the no. I got from AOL upon cancellation. I thought everything is over, filed & forgotten. To my surprise, I am continued to be billed for the subsequent months, even after cancellation. Hence, I called AOL twice on toll-free no. (for which I was charged) but no one could solve my problem. I am surprised & equally annoyed to answer all questions customer service representative asked. In spite of that, they could not access to my so-called closed account. Is it my fault ? I want someone to look into the matter urgently. There is no question of I paying the bills after cancellation. It is extremely ridiculous. Simultaneously, I am forwarding this letter to local newspaper in Indonesia appealing innocent customers not to use AOL. The service is disgusting.
