RE: Chase Continental Visa - issued $ 60 card 'upgrade' without asking for it - cancelled card
I was recentely issued an upgrade for my Chase Visa Card. I did not ask for an upgrade. Their upgrade requires a $60.00 per year fee. I called and complained.
The person that I talked to told me that a letter was sent out saying that I was going to be upgraded and that if I did not wish to be upgraded that I should notify them. I do not rember getting such letter. Even so I think that a better way to do business is to ask permission of your customers to upgrade than to shove it down there throat. I think that Chase shoul look at their tactics.
I have been spending a great deal of money on this card. I asked that they not upgrade my card and the person that I talked to told me I could not change it. I canceled my card. I hope that Continental knows how Chase is handling their accounts. I will no longer use there products.
