RE: Credit Card companies - unethical practice of putting unwanted offers in with statements
I would like to complain about the unethical practice of putting pamphlets in with you statements because some companies put in an offer of Credit Card Insurance or discounts on certain items if you cash a $2.00 check for example. They then preceed to charge your credit card if you DO NOT CALL THEM AND TELL THEM YOU DON'T WANT THAT OFFER!!!!
They know it is very unethical because as soon as you complain the EMPLOYEE on the phone has the authority to cancel it. I would like to know how many senior citizens who are sometimes not quite on top of things and are of a generation where they could trust people.
