RE: Hardees, Monmouth, IL - given coffee in soft cup - spilled while driving

Hi! I want to 'air' a complaint! I stopped at your HARDEES in Monmouth Illinois on Wednesday, June 5th. I was heading out of town on a trip home so I wanted a large coffee ( and a delicious raisen biscuit!).

I wondered about the coffee when they handed it to me as it was in a soft cup (one like the soft drinks come in) but I put it carefully in my holder and started off! I let it cool for about 20 miles down the road and then lifted it for a drink....

when the heaviness of the coffee (plus it was still very hot, I discovered)...allowed the coffee to spew out of the drinking hole and it flew onto my hand and all over the car seat! I hurriedly put it back in the holder and found a napkin...by this time my hand was red and burning! I pulled over, cleaned up the mess and hoped my hand would not blister.

Well, it has not blistered but it is red and tender!! In talking with other friends...we all agree....that your coffee should NOT be served in a soft cup!

I proceeded to throw away my coffee and stop at the next McDonnalds where I received my coffee in a hard foam cup which did not give in to the pressure of a full hot cup!!

Please look into to this and thanks for listening! Marilyn Dunham, Ottumwa, Ia.....
