Southern Lumber Co in San Jose, CA - Two Anderson Sliding Doors - trouble with order

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on June 7, 2002:

RE: Southern Lumber Co in San Jose, CA - Two Anderson Sliding Doors - trouble with order

On March 20 2002, We ordered two Andersen 400 series sliding doors from Southern Lumber Co in San Jose, Ca. 95110 Which we paid in full. On April 21 we found out that the doors were not ordered at all. Southern Lumber #(408) 294-1487 They asked if we still wanted them and told them yes we do, asap! Well On May 31 the wrong doors were delivered to my residence.

They even shorted me one door, The doors were 200 series (a cheaper version of what was originaly ordered).At this time I contacted Robert Ingram (Manager) He said that he'll make good on the order and instructed Kelly L. to give me 10 % off the order and order the right doors (400 series) She faxed me the order form which I checked and signed and was aslo told that even though I paid for 200 series doors I would still get the 400 series doors. Folks, I paid for 400 series doors to start with.

So they act like they're doing me a favor, NOT. They next day June 4th I get another fax advising me that after the 10 % discount you owe Southern Lumber 834.60 if I wanted the doors I had to pay the difference. On reading this fax I was now red hot mad, I called Robert of Southern Lumber (1 831) 334-3903 on his cel phone and asked him "what kind of crap is this". He said thats the best I can do.

Well I then asked him for my Fxxxing money back. At this time have not recieved a penny till Monday I guess.. The way I see it this is unfare treatment of a paying customer I need interest paid on my money that they used for all this time sum of 2780.86......I will e-mail all my contractor friends not to do business with this spineless Co. Copies of this will be sent to all my e-mail friends...
