RE: America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses - upset with service
Here is another complaint about America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses. This time they 1. changed my contact brand on a whim 2. incorrectly diagnosed the correction for my left eye (one half power too strong) and 3, made me wait for a month before the complete pair (only one lens arrived) arrived in the store.
Of course I was the one who had to keep calling them about the problems. I had to return to the store to demand action be taken on my contact lens problem. For some reason, my eyes prefer Ciba brand contacts and not the Dura Soft3 lenses that they ordered. After much searching, they found that CIBA brand contacts in my very high correction were not in their computer, but had to be 'specially' ordered.
When I complained on the corporate website (www.twopair.com) I didn't get a apology. A few days later, I received a 10% off coupon on any services. If I were to be so foolish as to trust these incompetents again, I'm sure I would be told that the coupon was invalid. I found the corporate complaint line (800-441-1162) but I'm sure it would be staffed by the same "quality" individuals as their stores are.
