Company: Alsco-Cardinal

Category: Building, Construction

Company name: Alsco-Cardinal - owner Jean Gravina, located in Denver, Colorado. Purchased windows for entire home (14 windows and one sliding patio door) at the cost of $7,200.00 in June, 2001. Installation went well and was done on a timely basis. Noticed wood company added around our new patio door was not even, asked to repair, did not complete.

Noticed that caulking around many windows (75%) was sloppy, decided that since we had plans to paint the house next year we would tape off and make straight lines and correct ourselves. Went to paint the house this year, no paint or primer will stick to caulking. Contacted Alsco-Cardinal 5/6/02, explained problem, and have been placing daily phone calls since with little to no response.

No one has come to see the work we are in disagreement about, owner has not returned phone calls, receptionist is extremely rude.

Contacted manufacturer of the windows themselves directly (Amerimax, located in Loveland, CO) and they explained that this is the recommended caulking, nothing will stick to it. Understandable, we only want someone from Alsco-Cardinal to address the issue and to made corrections on the sloppy workmanship that they performed.

Am contacting local news station for consumer help.
