I also have a 1996 GMC Jimmy. Over the last year and a half, I have had to have my radiator flushed twice, at my own expense. I only use Dex Cool which was what was recommended. Frankly, I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had problems with this.
Anyhow, my Jimmy also makes a gurgling noise and not only does the radiator have grimy looking sludge in it, but my water pump has had to be replaced along with the thermostat. The temperature gage is also acting erratic in that it will go from above 220 to what it would normally run. The air conditioner no longer works either due to a leak somewhere.
I'll never buy another GM vehicle again as long as I live. I was looking for a reliable ride that would last a long time and I have had nothing but problems. It's not a vehicle I would recommend to anyone. Rebecca From: Message Author (click here to email author)Date: Wednesday, 05-Jun-02 00:00:00 CDT Business: Reply Online Consumer: Comment On This |
