Dominique Pelligrino Copy of Report to Better Business Bureau April 2, 2002

Christina Berry of Closet World, a sales representative arrived at our home for a possible sale of an entertainment center. After several hours we agreed that for a price of $2,789 we would purchase an entertainment center to be installed in approximately one month. After installation of the entertainment center we would be purchasing a desk unit to match. April 3, 2002

Received fax from Christina Berry of Closet World confirming design of the entertainment center. April 27, 2002

Installation date by Ed Flores and Javier Guerrero. The base unit for the Entertainment center is installed. The installers brought the incorrect crown molding and no base molding (per our agreement). (See delivery receipt) Carol Comfort and I made several phone calls are made during this period and I was informed that Closet World does not have a base molding designed to fit our entertainment center (4” base) and they were not going to be able to install the molding. Since Closet World designed the unit, it is their responsibility to complete it with the proper materials. We scheduled several appointments for the completion of the unit—installers failed to show for many of them. When the installers came to finally put on the molding, it was done improperly: There were gaps between the molding and the unit that were filled in with putty; the base molding was installed by placing 2” molding one on top of the other which created gaps; several of the shelves were peeling and chipped. Christina Berry did not return our calls. On June 1st, another team of installers arrived: By this point, we realized that the shelves were beginning to bow. When this team replaced the inferior shelves with stronger shelves, they re-did the crown molding, leaving it once again with gaps and the shelves they replaced are not level. This installer REFUSED to redo the work, was extremely rude, REFUSED to complete the paperwork for the visit and REFUSED to give his name. We have spoken with Dominique Pelligrino (Installation supervisor) several times; yet, this job has not been completed to our satisfaction. Closet World advertises a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. WE ARE NOT GUARANTEED!!!

The product is inferior and the workmanship is shoddy. Dominque guaranteed that the work would be completed Saturday, June 14, 2002, yet no installers came to our home and when we called (AGAIN) we were told that the appointment for today had never been made. In order to resolve this matter, we demand that the unit be removed from our home and our payment of $2,789.00 be refunded in full. We have lost wages due to the many times we have been required to be home for Closet World Installers and have experienced undue stress because of this matter. Please see attached photos.
