Sears, Moreno Valley, CA - Sears portraits - overcharged - unable to get refund at the store

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on June 14, 2002:

RE: Sears, Moreno Valley, CA - Sears portraits - overcharged - unable to get refund at the store Thinking of getting pictures taken anytime soon of your family? Please get a coupon off of the internet, what they charge at the studio is $12.99 a sheet and on the internet you will pay $4.99 a sheet.

Customer service has gone down tremendously at the Sears I went to in Moreno Valley, CA. The portrait session was successful at best but when it comes to charging for the pictures, I was overcharged and told to wait 10 days for my check to go through before I can get my refund.

The transaction had just occured and I noticed the error when walking to my vehicle. The check I wrote was still in the drawer. I informed the manager that I would not leave until the correct price was paid and I will receive the other check that I wrote. This is what happened.

Always check any receipt that you get from anywhere, people are being overcharged and these stores get angry at you the customer for bringing it to their attention!! Much thanks for letting me share this with the consumers. Have a nice day.
