Burger King, Polaris Parkway, Westerville, OH - dirty restrooms, food preparation was not done with gloves

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on June 13, 2002:

On June 13, 2002, at approximately 8:30pm, my wife and I ate at the Burger King located at 70 Polaris Parkway, Westerville OH (614) 898-7297. We both ordered a "back yard burger", fries, and a medium soft drink, and consumed the items on the premises. The men's restroom facilities were unsanitary, and the person who prepared our food was not wearing protective gloves. Approximately 2 hours after our meal, my wife and I both suffered moderate intestinal cramping, and an over-all sick feeling. We initially attempted to take our concern to Burger King directly and looked for a Burger King customer service email address, but were informed of the following taken from the Burger king web site: "Thank you for taking an interest in Burger King Corporation. If you would like to contact BURGER KING&#174, you may do so via U.S. mail or telephone.

At this time we are not handling or accepting any suggestions or concerns via e-mail. If you attempt to send an e-mail, it will be returned as "undeliverable" and it will not be received or reviewed by anyone at Burger King Corporation.

Therefore, if you desire to communicate with Burger King Corporation, we suggest you do so via U.S. Mail or telephone. The contact information is: Consumer Relations, 17777 Old Cutler Road, Miami, Florida 33157, or by calling 305-378-3535, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST." We want no compensation of any kind. We simply want this establishment investigated for health concerns and unsanitary conditions that could lead to possible fatal consequences. Thank You, Nick & Robin
