Faulty telephone - service outage Gross negligence by MTNL, Nehru Place Exchange

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on June 13, 2002:

RE: Faulty telephone - service outage Gross negligence by MTNL, Nehru Place Exchange

CMD , MTNL, Delhi.

Till date same has not been rectified. Latest Compl No . 541 dt 10-06-02. Kindly urge Nehru Place Exchange people to act with responsibility . It is something unprecedented that such an essential service has been neglected so badly and customer has been disrespected to the utmost. MTNL, Delhi has really lost all its credentials to own and operate such a vital service in a place like Delhi and hence, need to be dismantled.

ii) Complaint No 229 dated 03-06-2002

Dear Sir,

I am to inform you great regret that my telephne is lying idle since

27-05-2002 but nothing has been done by MTNL to rectify the fault

although a complaint was lodged with them vide no. 1338 dated

27-05-2002. You are request to kindly arrange rectification on an

urgent basis. My current com no. 229 dated 03-06-2002
