RE: DENNY'S - poor dining experience - upset with SERVICE & FOOD QUALITY

I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO FILE A FORMAL COMPLAINT ABOUT THE SERVICE & QUALITY OF FOOD I RECEIVED AT DENNY'S THIS PAST WEEKEND. MY FAMILY OF FOUR VISITED THE DENNY'S ESTABLISHMENT #7506 ON JUNE 8, 2002 FOR A LATE MORNING BREAKFAST.

THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT BUSY, AS THERE WERE ONLY 4 OR 5 FILLED TABLES IN OUR AREA. THE WAITRESS TOOK OUR DRINK ORDERS FAIRLY QUICKLY, BUT DIDN'T RETURN FOR THE FOOD ORDERS FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES.

AFTER GIVING HER THE ORDERS, THE FOOD WAS NOT GIVEN TO US FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER 20 TO 30 MINUTES, AND WAS NOT UP TO THE STANDARDS WE'VE USUALLY EXPERIENCED AT THIS PARTICULAR ESTABLISHMENT, (WE'VE FREQUENTED THIS PARTICULAR RESTAURANT SEVERAL TIMES PREVIOUSLY). MY HUSBAND AND SON IN LAW HAD ORDERED THE LUMBERJACK SPECIAL, THE WAITRESS NEVER ASKED WHAT KIND OF TOAST OR BREAD WAS WANTED, THE PANCAKES WERE RUBBERY AND THE BACON WAS UNDERCOOKED.

MY DAUGHTER ORDERED MOON OVER MY HAMMIE AND THE EGGS OOZED, AS IF THEY ALSO WERE UNDERCOOKED. I HAD ORDERED THE TEXAS CHICKEN FAJITA SKILLET, THE PEPPERS, ONIONS AND POTATOES WERE OVERCOOKED. AT THIS SAME TIME, OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE ALSO COMPLAINING OF THE TIME SERVICE, AND ONE OF THE TABLES IN OUR AREA, EVEN SENT THE FOOD BACK AS THE WAITRESS OR COOK HAD THE ORDER WRONG. I WAS ALSO PERTURBED BY THEIR SEATING OF A MIDDLE EASTERN COUPLE TO THE VERY REAR & IN A CORNER OF THE RESTAURANT. AFTER LEAVING THEM IN THIS CORNER FOR AT LEAST 20 MINUTES WITHOUT TAKING THEIR ORDER, THE COUPLE LEFT THE RESTAURANT AND WALKED TO THEIR HOTEL NEXT DOOR, GOT IN THEIR CAR AND WENT ELSEWHERE.

IT WAS AS IF DENNY'S DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO SERVE THEM OR EVEN CARED IF THEY LEFT, AS THEY DIDN'T ATTEMPT TO STOP THEM AT ALL. I HAVE ALREADY SENT AN EMAIL TO DENNY'S THIS WEEK ABOUT THIS SITUATION WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE. IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR THEM TO RESPOND TO MY COMPLAINTS AND POSSIBLY OFFER MY FAMILY & MYSELF A FREE DINNER TO MAKE UP FOR THE POOR SERVICE & POOR QUALITY OF FOOD SERVED.
