RE: AmocoBP Station located at 67th Street and Jeffrey Blvd. in Chicago, Illinois - unprofessional service

My complaint is with AmocoBP Station located at 67th Street and Jeffrey Blvd. in Chicago, Illinois. Let me share with you what happened today. After work I stopped in the station to purchase gas and to play my daily lottery numbers. I paid for my gas and informed the cashier that I also wanted to play lottery. The cashier stated that the person handling the lottery machine would be out in about 1 minute. I waited patiently (in excess of five minutes) for the other cashier to get back to the register. She emerged from the back of the store and proceeded to go to the pop machine to get a drink. Laugh with other co-workers, and got a snack of some sort from another part of the store. She then returned to the register (about 5 people are in line now) and proceeded to ask me in a dry tone if she could help me. I then proceeded to recite to her the numbers that I wanted to play, but she stopped me in mid-sentence in a nasty tone asking "how many numbers are you playing". I stated I didn't know, not too many. I began again to recite my number and once again, I was cut off in mid-sentence asking me "you don't know"? I replied, "not exactly, I haven't decided". I began to recite my very first number and again, and I was cut off in mid-sentence by her saying "are you playing more than 3". At that point I simply stated that was okay, I wasn't playing anything. I proceeded out of the store to begin pumping my gas. The fact of the matter is I probably would not have played more than 3. I found her attitude quite curt and unprofessional, especially since I had waited patiently in excess of 5 minutes for her to return from a break. The least she could have been is professional. I understand that businesses are short handed, but couldn't one of the other clerks assist customers while she was away. Now here's the best part of the complaint. I proceeded to my car to pump my gas and the pump would issue out $0.10 worth of gas and click off. I managed to get about $0.30 worth of gas and then decided that this just isn't worth my time. This has happened a couple of times previously at this same station. I proceeded back to the station and asked the clerk to give me my change because the pump wasn't working. He did give me the money but he didn't ask me what pump was malfunctioning, nor did he apologize for my inconvenience. He didn't even attempt to put a sign on the pump while I was there. I guess they just let people continuously try to get gas from the broken pump number 4. It's a shame that these people are so unprofessional. They are in a prime location, are convenient for me to stop in after work and play lottery withouth aving to make another stop. They have excellent coffee and

excellent donuts. They have the potential to do an excellent business. I would suggest they try to find some good help. Please inform this business of my complaint. Their website address is http://www.bpamoco.com. I hope you can email them as I couldn't find an email address. Thank you. Jannise Childs-Rowe
