Last December I ordered some Christmas presents online. I charged my JC Penny card.
I never received a billing statement from Pennys but they have turned my account over to a credit agency to receive payments. I have all those months worth of late fees added to a bill I never received and I have tried many approaches to receive an itemized billing statement form them.
JC Penny sent the bill to my German address, which I had changed a year and a half ago when I moved back to the states.
I called the 1-800 number for account status as a last means to get ahold of someone who could send me an itemized billing statement only to be told they don't handle my account. The lady was very nice but gave me a 1-877 number that no longer in service, :-(.
What is unusual about this is I was mailed an insurance paper to my old address in Germany and it was forwarded to my friends address here in Texas where I currently live. I think if they would have mailed me the bill it would have arrived in a round about way and I wouldn't be dealing with this being on my credit report.
Which, incidentally, was the way I found out I even owed Pennys anything when I purchased my pool...
