Lop.com - installed itself on computer - can't uninstall program - no replies to messages for help from Lop.com

Complaints.com received the following consumer message on May 31, 2002:

Dear Complaints,

I found this web site [Lop.com] to be a problem. It installed itself on my computer and when I tried to uninstall it, I was not successful. The uninstall program appears not to work As a result I have unwanted messages poping up on the computer at odd moments. The site did not respond to my requests for information about how to uninstall it.

The program at this site is worse than a virus and every bit as destructive. I don't understand how they can continue to operate. And the companies whose ads now pop up on my computer are guaranteed not to get any business from me because they are associated with this site.

I wonder if others have experienced the same difficulty.
