Money, Loans - American Savings Discount Club : terrible customer service, no longer answer customer service line
Complaints.com received the following e-message on June 5, 2001:

American Savings Discount Club- The Tungsten Group To Whom It May Concern: I would like to lodge a complaint against American Savings Discount Club. This company called my home on May 8th to solicit a loan. I gave them my banking information, THEN they told me I might not get a check for 90 days, so I cancelled the transaction. I was told my information was not yet in the computer, but that the transaction would not go through.
On May 14th, they deducted 100 dollars from my checking account. I called the company and they were very rude. They told me I would have to wait 15 days to get my money back. They refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and would not give me a physical address to write a letter of complaint. I emailed them and got a message from someone named Tammy saying I would have my money back in 10 days. As of yet, I have received nothing. My emails have gone unanswered.
They no longer answer their customer service line. There are many, many complaints about this company online. I am desperate to get my money back. I need it to help pay my son's school expenses. 100 dollars is a lot to my family. They took it and gave me nothing. They stole money from me. I hope you can help me get it back.
