Watercraft - 2000 GP 1200 Yamaha Waverunner YAMAHA Purchased 2 2000 GP1200 Yamaha Waverunners new in May of 2000. May of 2001 the

motors are blown and out of waranty. Yamaha refuses to help in anyway. Paid over

16K (16000.00) for these Yamaha products and one year later they are worthless.

Yamaha has stated that they were not winterized correctly and that resulted in the

blown motors. I live in Texas and ride the Waverunners year round. They were

garaged kept and in perfect condition. I have been loyal to Yamaha and between

myself and my brother, have spent over 50K (50000.00) in Yamaha products in the

past 5 years. Yamaha customer service and the dealer (Central Yamaha, Plano TX)

refuse to offer any type of assistance. It is costing me over 4000.00 to have the

motors rebuilt. Yamaha does not stand behind there product, no matter how much money you spend

or how loyal you are. Read an article where they say Yamaha has the Midas touch and

can do no wrong. They obviously haven't owned a Yamaha . Mark Ellerman
