Ford Windstar transmission problem

Dear Sirs, I have a 1998 Ford Windstar with 34260 miles on it. The transmission has started slipping and needs replaced. I first contacted the dealer Fair Way Ford in Canfield Ohio they told me the warranty expired in Nov.2000 and they would not do anything.

I then contacted Ford Motor Company they told me the same thing. A transmission should not go bad with few of miles on it unless it was faulty from the start. I feel that either Fair Way Ford or Ford Motor Company should at the very least split the cost of the repair. This is the 8th ford vechile I have owned in the last 10 years and if something is not done it will be the last.

Thank You,

Scott Gregory
