Appliances - Emerson Professional Series Microwave : rotating platter broken right after purchase

Complaints.com received the following e-message on June 11, 2001:

I am sorry but I just bought a Emerson Professional Series Microwave and the little black plug that makes the glass platter go around is broken. The store were I purchased this item doesn't carry parts and since I live in a very small town I was wondering if you could help me.

The number is MW 8102sscand it is a chrom machine. Any help would be most appreciated.
