I bought a new Opel Corsa in December 2002. The first trouble started a month later (in January 2003) and every month something else breaks. Since then the vehicle has been back to Delta Motor Corporation in South Africa for repairs 8 or 9 times (I lost track after the sixth time). The problem with the car is that it cuts out while driving and sometimes the car does not want to start and I have to struggle for half an hour up to an hour to get it to start. So far Delta has replaced both the car’s back wheel bearings, the fuel pump relay (twice), the electronic coil unit, the right hand door handle and lock and they reprogrammed the ECU twice. The car has broken down on the highway three times (it start after about 30 – 60 minutes), it has broken down on other roads twice and nearly every morning I have difficulty starting the car as well as having problems in starting at shopping centers ( This happens at least once a week). I now feel that the car is dangerous to drive with as it could cause an accident as well as break down in a dangerous area where my life could be in danger. Delta then decided to replace the car with a secondhand car with rust and more kilometers than my car, which I declined. Delta basically wants me to pay for a new car and drive a secondhand car. New problems on the car is that the right front wheel bearing is making a noise and the left back shock absorber is squeaking. I want to warn all buyers against buying an Opel. You might end up paying for a new car and driving a secondhand car. Regards Stephan Crots
