RE: American Home Shield - AHS - home insurance didn't cover air conditioning repair cost
I purchased a home warranty service back in January of 2003. I recently developed a problem with the air conditioning at home so I decided to give AHS a try to solve the A/C problem.
It turns out that AHS has many fine prints for what they cover that they don't reveal to their potential customers until after a contract is written up. The sales pitch was on covering major appliances at home, repair or replace, without the fine prints. When reading the contract and all the fine prints for what AHS does not cover, the service is not worth much in my opinion and experience.
I have been paying $37.00/month for services since 01/03 and I paid $45.00 of trade service call fee just to hear that I had to cover the repair expenses because it is in the fine prints that the repair is not covered. I feel rather stupid for letting an organization like AHS rub me blind in bright day light. AHS, I am cancelling you out.
