My long distance company is MCI Neighborhood but I keep getting switched to ATT and getting charged the highest non-ATT customer rates. ATT claims MCI does the switching and MCI claims ATT does it. Someone is doing it and I keep getting stuck with the bill.

Email to MCI 7/16/03 For the second time this year, MCI has bounced my long distance into ATT's non customer rate plan. I went to the PUC last time and ATT was held blameless. After running in circles back and forth between the two companies (ATT and MCI, which are both owned by Worldcom) I finally got MCI to cover the cost of the calls I had made while believing that I was on the flat rate Neighborhood. Well, it has happened again after I made a formal request to lock my LD company to MCI. Since May 8, which I was not billed for until yesterday, July15, I have been calling unknowingly through ATT. I received the bill on July 15.

Is this a scam that the two companies have put together? I am really very tired of this so here is what I propose,

1. You give me credit for the ATT bill of $99.19 plus any other long distance charges up to today, July 16. 2. I am also going to the PUC to have them investigate you this time. I want my LD phone put back on MCI and not bumped off again! I refuse to go through what I went through the last time this happened and so you conduct your own PIC tests and you sit on the phone all day on your day off. I have things to do. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Most sincerely,

Robin C. Rutan
