RE: Turbotrip.com - made reservation for a Holiday Inn in New Orleans for 4 nights - hotel would not honor rates confirmed by Turbotrip.com
I made and confirmed reservations for a Holiday Inn in New Orleans for June 26,2003 for 4 nights. WWW.Turbotrip.com was the internet company that had the best rates for the above.
When I arrived at the hotel, the holiday inn would not acknowledge the confirmed rates, even though they had the reservation and I ended up having to pay 100 dollars more for the 4 nite stay.
I attempted to reach Turbotrip by phone and was told that the computers were down but that someone and I was given the names , would call me once the computers were up to talk about this. No one called for over a week, I waited.
I then went to the website and emailed my concerns to Mr Symons ( the name I had been given) to no avail, attempting to call now only results in a phone system that just transfer you until you reach a voice that says I cannot do this at this time, when you want to leave a message.
I used them and I know that they are paid by Holiday Inn for the costumers however, I was the one who could have gotten a better reservation at another site, but chose them because they had the best rate only to find out that said rates don't exist..
