I like Wendy's.

Always have.

I moved to an address near the location I mentioned.

I go through the drive-through late at night.

The last three times I have been there I have arrived home to discover that the fries were old and the chicken in the fried chicken sandwich was old and overcooked. Three times in a row. I came to the conclusion that the crew has decided to save on some foodcost by giving late-nite drive-throughs the old or badly cooked food.food. I first decided not to go there and order the fried chicken sandwich.

But subsequent visits resulted in the same old fries. One night I pulled the fries out of the bag and said I wanted new ones. The person at the window, while still being polite, pointed out that i would make everyone else in the line wait.

On 7/11, I had a bad time overall. I had decided stop at a Jack in the Box down the road and waited 30 minutes to get to the window. There I found that they had not even started my order. I left and headed for the same Wendy's I'm talking about. I got into line and ordered 6 99cent cheesebugers at aabout 10:45 pm. The wait was not long but when I was handed the bag I noticed that it was cold.

I told the girl at the window that the food was cold. She said that it had just been made. I made her take it into her hands and she took it into the restaurant and the manager came to the window and told me that he would give me a refund but that he had just made the burgers himself. I told him to put his hands on the side of the bag and tell me it wasn't cold. He reached in and opened one of the burgers and pointed to the meat and said that the meat was hot and that the meat was the only part the would be warm.

I took the burger back, threw it into the bag and left. I have spent 20 years in the restaurant business and I have never, ever sent out a burger with cold buns. And I mean refrigerator cold. Much less sent one out and claim that that was the normal thing and that the customer was out of line for expecting a hot hamburger. A hambuger is a hot sandwich. Always has been and always will be.

Shame and Disgust for this level of customer service
