RE: follow-up message

Dear CITIBANK, I had received a credit card ending with no. xx9005 Since I had not requested any card from CITIBANK I wonder why did I get this in first pplace. Then I wrote to you saying that I dont want this card and I will not entertain any bill in this regard. I got your reply that this card has been closed and you will not get any bill. Still I got a bill of Rs. 0.02 which I am supposed to pay IMMEDIATELY. Thats why I have to write to you again. Because for my earlier account ending with xx1014, out of the Rs.500 I paid for activation I was promised to get Rs. 250/- back. But I didn't get any refund not even for my reward points. So I had to close that account. If you have read this far then you should know that CITIBANK is to pay me Rs. 249.98 IMMEDIATELY. I donot want to waste any more time on replying to your mails. Please donot take the pain of clarifying anything. Thanks and best regards, Vinay

RE: Citibank, India - unable to close credit account - trying in vain for 2 months Dear freinds, I am totally frustrated with the service of CITIBANK. They didn't provide me good service and when I tried to close the account , they frustrate you even more.

I am trying to close the credit account for the past 2 months, invain. I even went to their office at Pune, but noone listened to me there too. I am enclosing last few communication I had with CITIBANK. There are many more which I am not enclosing because it will just waste your time. You will find how horrible the people at CITIBANK are. They are paid just to sit in the A/C office and make fool of the customers by sending pathetic replys. Someone please advice me how to get rid of CITIBANK. Can I just throw away the credit card? And an advice .. PLEASE DONOT TAKE CITIBANK CREDIT CARDS - THEY WILL MAKE YOU CRY FOR THAT LATER. Best regards Vinay CITIBANK people :Go through this if you get time

Dear CITIBANK,

You are just giving excuses . When you wanted me to take your credit card you called me on the same number 2-3 times. And now you say you are not able to contact me on that number . This is only because I want to close the account. For the past two months I am communicating with for closing the account, and in the meanwhile I have got two more bills from you, which I should not have paid , if you had closed my account then. This is the last time I am giving my number and if your memory is not that strong, you had called me on these numbers. 020 - 4226160 ( 9.00 am - 6.00 pm )

020 - 4228081 ( 9.00 am - 6.00 pm )

98226 - 39453 ( 8.00 am - 11.00 pm ) If my account is not closed in this week I will have to take strong actions.

Best regards,

Vinay ===================================================================== DATE : 27/06/2003 (Citibank’s Reply – after 3 days)

Dear All

CITI BANK has a known policy of conning people in India into taking loans through their Credit Cards and a loan through their ATM's which they call AVAILABLE BALANCE.

There is no way you could reach a happy ending by calling up the RASCALS in their call centres, and they do not give acknowlegement at any of their branches.

However there is a happy news, I have done it after suffering for 4 years trying to close my SUVIDHA account.

Just send a few letters or e-mail to them and repeat your request for full name address and telephone number of any EMPLOYEE OF CITIBANK (NOT CITIBANK OFFICERS - THIS WILL DIRECT YOU TO CALL CENTRE) who could give you an written acknowlegement of closure of your account across the table in your city.

You will not get the information for sure.

THEN TAKE COPIES OF ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS AND CORRESPONDENCE WITH A COVERING LETTER, STATING STEP BY STEP, HOW YOU ARE BEING FLEECED TO THE Honorable Ombudsman's office in the RBI at your city.

They are the only people who could help you very fast and efficiently and who could coller this menance.

100% it will be solved.

GOD BLESS AND NOW I FEEL THAT OUR GOOD OLD GOVERNMENT BANKS ARE MUCH BETTER.
