Don't ever buy a cable service from a telemarketer. The Telemarketer will promise you anything to make the sale, and then you have to spend hours, days, weeks slugging it out with Customer Service trying to get what was promised to you. Who's to blame? At first it might seem that the blame lies with the deceptive telemarketer. While they were certainly dishonest, they ultimately represent Cablevision, whose obligation it is to see that its representatives (subcontractors or not) deal honestly with the public. I think Cablevision allows this to go on and profits from the people who just get fed up and take what's served.
