RE: GE wall air conditioner - returned from service department dented - in poor visual appearance This is in regard to a brand new in wall air conditioner which was bought within the last three months and used only three times.
It was taken for servicing because ofit making noise, and not cooling properly. Today it was delivered to us dented, front and back and with a different condenser. It looked like it had been in a wall for about a year.
It was refused! Sent back. When I spoke to the department in question they told me that there was nothing wrong with and it was cooling at 53 degrees and they had it running all day. If you brought a new car in for servicing and it came back damaged don't you think that you would be really pissed off!!!
The amount of money consumers pay for items should account for quality especially from a company as big as GE. I was always a GE consumer buyer, but after this experience I believe it will change five people's impressions, if not more.
I hope that the servicing repair department will rectify the situation. How can companies be so insensitive to people who buy their products? In the mean time the room it was in is about 110 degrees with a sick child who has asthma. Sincerely, Donna Spero
