RE: Richmond American Homes, Colorado - warranty repairs not made to satisfaction
Having received no satisfaction from Richmond Homes, we are writing directly to you,. I wish to register a complaint on warranty issues that have not been completed to our satisfaction. We purchased our home in April 2, 1999 from Richmond American Homes, Colorado (303) 773-2727.
We have went up the chain of commands with our complaints and they have went unheard. We have sent many letters to Richmond. I spoke with Jeff Rainey , Manager of Custormer Service, he stated that we needed to go to arbitration. I have not heard from him. David Mandrich President, President of Richmond American Homes assistant Elitha, April 2002 to discuss our warranty issue letter dated March 2001. I also sent information to Mr. Mandrich in August 11, 2000. He returned the letter back to the exact people that were not performing their duties, and again letting the warranty issues fall through the cracks. Attached is our list of warranty repairs. The major problems or our windows, gutters, and cement. Since April 2, 1999, our windows have had wind, dust, and in the winter months ice built up on them. When it snows half of the window has ice built up. If we want to see out of the windows we need to scrape them with an ice scraper. When it is windy you can feel the wind coming through the openings of our windows. Our house is extremely cold in the winter months.
Our front porch and sidewalk leading to the house, when it snows has ice build up because our gutters leak, my mother has fallen on this ice. The driveway and sidewalks cement its eroding and when I sweep the cement it chips off. The driveway lifts about an inch at the bottom. The companys have made appointments to fix problems, they either dont show up, or they dont come prepared, and when they say they repair them, the problem still exist. Richmond American Homes has 32 complaints recorded with the Better Business Bureau. All we are asking for is a home finished and complete; Where the gutters, windows, cement, etc. does the job that they are intended to perform. I hope that you can assist us with our problems. Attached is a list of our warranty issue. Thank You. Sincerely, Robert and Deborah Herrera
