I am dealing with a credit card collection agency. I get at least four phone calls a day from this company. I requested a bill or their address from them.
they refuse to give it to me at first they wanted a check by phone and I told them after what they did last time I wasn't willing to give them a check I would rather mail them a money order. Needless to say I was told they wanted a payment by check or credit card lol right then and there.
I ended up getting their address in the end but then later on that day when I decided to call and get the balance on my account they informed me once again that they wanted a payment right then and there and it ticked me off so I just hung up the phone because in the previous call I had told them I would mail a money order on Monday. He called right back and left a hum dinger of a message on my answering machine.
anyway I have to wonder how a company with a bunch of parasites running it can still be in business. Tell me what the purpose of the consumer protection act there is when it holds no legal weight it is not specific enough to protect the people who last time I checked were only obligated to pay taxes and die.
I'd like to think this country and my rights are protected from people who act in this way for their own financial gain. from what I hear they work off commission. I f that's true I guess it would explain the rude behavior on their part. They have been telling me I had a GM Master card and I now owe them $13,000.I have told them I have never owned a GM Master,or even used one. There is a man in the same area, with the same name I have which I think is the person they want. I am now stuck with a bad credit report due to no fault of my own.
