RE: AURORA LOAN SERVICES, SCOTTSBLUFF, NEBRASKA - ongoing mortage payment mistakes

I had my mortgage sold to them in 1998 and the nightmare began. They lost 3 payments and put my home into foreclosure. I had lost the moneyorder receipts that proved the payments, so I agreed to a re-payment plan that upped my payments from around $500 to nearly $800 for a period of 12 months. Around the 6 month mark, something went wrong again. They weren't applying my payments or something because the amount hadn't gone down, but up! They also claimed that I did not make payments to them for many months. I have a checkbook filled with checks that proves otherwise. I paid by phone, but continued to write the checks as if I'd mailed them. I figured with the phone method nothing could get fouled up. During this 6 month period, I paid them almost $5,000. How did 3 payments equalling approximately $1500 amount to that? Even with interest and late fees I highly doubt that it came to that much! Also, by the time they claimed I violated my payment agreement, they claimed I STILL owed them the same amount I started with--somewhere around 3 thousand dollars. What happened to all that money?? They claim to have sent you paperwork when you know darn well they didn't. In one case they claimed that I couldn't get a deferral of the payments because I didn't qualify for that option---YET--- They wanted to raise my payments instead! Sincerely,

Anne Scinta
