RE: 2001 Pontiac Grand Am - defective windshield, leak in floor, master cylinder replaced, a/c problems, gas fumes inside car

My husband and I purchased a new 2001 Grand Am from our local dealership in November 2001. This vehicle has been nothing but TROUBLE FROM THE TIME OF PURCHASE. First the windshield was defective and they replaced it. It wasn't bad enough tis had to be done three times to get it right, but they billed both GM and my insurance carrier. There has been a leak on the passenger side floor since the first day.

They were never able to find the leak. While driving to work the brakes would constantly squeal and pull the car to the right. Master cylinder was replaced, but they never put on new brakes as they should have being it was eventually a recall. A/C never worked properly.

In the shop numerous times. No problem found. When I went to pick it up, three of the five vents were spinning like tops. They swore they never took the dash apart. I beg to disagree. Vents don't spin automatically. Smell of gas fumes overpowering. Called my doctor from work and asked about the signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Had a blood test which came back at 8.5%, well above the acceptable limits. We have finally retained a lawyer because the owner lied through his teeth. He promised he would back us up all the way, but his daughter was dying of cancer, so could we please be patient. That was another mistake. He renegged on that too. In my opinion, and anyone that has ever owned a Grand Am I would rather walk.
